About Me

We represent the network public libraries of Concesio, Italy.

Our library, BICO, is one of the most interesting local public institution in our country, since we have adopted several innovative services and we are implementing a lot of unconventional activities that engages with citizens.

We have a specific focus on contemporary Art: in our library you can find an art exhibition that includes not only artworks made by important author, but also artworks made within our community. 

We believe that the role of public cultural institution is spreading contemporary art towards different publics; we believe that art can be a societal and paradigmal agent of change, a key tool to understand reality and new challenges of our time: for this reason we would like to promote a concept of "Art for everyone", exploiting the fact that we, as a public library, are a free, democratic, inclusive place of participation, an institution which can potentially engage with every citizen.

We would like to partecipate as coordinator in CERV and Erasmus+ Calls, with project proposals that focus on citizens'engagement to promote an inclusive and accesible way for the fruition of cultural content.
