About Me

The "Center for Migration Research and Integration Practices" (CMRIP) at the Hamburg university of applied sciences is directed by Prof. Dr. Louis Henri Seukwa and will be the applicant and coordinator of the project. The main objective of the Center is to foster empirical research for evidence based policy drives on migration related themes as well as issues related to integration practices. Strategic goal of the Center is to bundle and network the scientific activities in the field of migration and integration in order to ensure a systematic and continuous scientific accompaniment of discourses and practices in the field of migration and integration. For that the CMRIP is involved in a bright range of co- operations with various operative and strategic public and private partners at the local and national level.

 

The University of Hamburg and the non-profit organization passage Ltd. are for instance partners of CMRIP. Furthermore the Center contributes to the qualitative further development of the practice field of migration work by advising, accompanying and evaluating the institutional, organizational and conceptual development of institutions. It advises and supports administrations, organizations and institutions on issues of migration policy and migration work in municipal development projects through scientific know-how. As a contact person for companies, institutions and the public, CMRIP brings together the right partners for a variety of questions.
