Centro Laici ITaliani per le Missioni - CELIM
CELIM is an Italian NGO established in Milan in 1954, registered as NGO at Italian Ministry of Foreign Affaires since 1973 and at EU Pador as well. During the years CELIM has implemented projects in more than 23 developing and under-development countries in Africa, East Europe, Middle East and Central America. Nowadays CELIM implements projects in 15 countries: Kenya, Mozambique and Zambia; Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia; Turkey, Lebanon, Kurdistan; Haiti.
CELIM's bottom-up approach in carrying out feasibility studies and projects designing involves local partners, from CSOs to universities, passing through local autorities both at governamental or district/region/municipality level.
CELIM implements projects in the sectors of social housing and welfare services, sustainable development of urban areas, environment protection/conservation, education, food security and sustainable agriculture, disability, employability for vulnerable groups.
