About Me

Municipality of Gjirokaster

The Municipality is responsible for the compiling of strategic plans and the development of programs for the progress of the local economy. The founding and functioning of a public market and promotional activities such as fairs and advertisements in public places. Organization of supporting facilities in terms of local economic development, like information for businesses, promotional activities, provision of public assets. Publication of informative brochures, creation of portals of economic profile. Awarding of financial grants for the support of small and medium businesses, according to the manner defined in the legislation in force.

Cooperation with other partners in the framework of European programmes is being developed within the territory of the Municipality. Three projects under the IPA INTERREG Greece-Albania 2014-2020 programme concerning environment, cultural and touristic ;
