About Me

MIR non profit company for the research, diffusion and promotion of contemporary art is a shelter for unconventional interdisciplinary cultural projects. Its main activity is MIRfestival.

MIRfestival is an independent international interdisciplinary festival on contemporary forms of performing arts, a unique case in the Athenian cultural landscape. It welcomes experimental and adventurous creation at the meeting point of arts. It proposes meaningful, innovative and exciting artistic projects by established and emerging artists from the international community. Named after the old orbital station, it aims to be an open space for creative artists and audiences to meet, exchange, communicate and reflect in an international context. Presenting politically vibrant projects in unconventional spaces, in cultural venues and in the public space, advocating for deep exchange and response to challenges, bringing the Athenian citizens closer to new formats of performance, MIRfestival aims to be a platform for real encounters of international artists, encouraging collaborations between local and international artists, companies, collectives

Up to now MIR has been a core partner in 3 cooperation projects (Creative Europe, small scale) and an associated partner in another 2. At this moment we have no other cooperation running and we are looking for one. We have applied to Creative Europe and to Erasmus+ with other parnters. We have never been a leader.
