More than 16 years of experience in university education as well as in scientific and applied projects, national strategies, Mr Zaimi is a well-equipped professionally in Hydrometeorology, Hydraulic, Flood Issues, River Bed Design, Flood Protection and Flood Risk Assessment. His project experience also includes Hydrological and Hydraulic Modelling, Environmental and Hydro-ecological Management Issues, Stochastic Hydrology, Hydrodynamics of Catchments and Floodplain Protection Structures Design. Design of Early Warning Systems for multihazard, (floods, flash-floods, urban floods, sea floods, forest fires, landslides, extreme weather) and integrated Meteorological-Hydrological-Flood forecasting through mathematical modelling at the basin level including protection and preservation of environment from erosion and pollutants as well. Planning and supervision of meteorological and hydrological observation systems, data collection, data processing and data management in different project scale. He participated and led various studies and reports at national, regional and basin-scale to define hydrological characteristics of water resources systems. His experience included the development of integrated surface and groundwater monitoring approaches and the definition of proper calibration techniques, which were disseminated and exchanged with public and private stakeholders.
