The Agri-Business Unit oparates under the Primary Sector Department. The Primary Sector Departmant is responsible for the protection and development of plant production, animal production and fishing on the island of Rhodes, supporting the rural world in improving working methods and improving the organisation of farms. The specific responsibilities of the Directorate within its mission are defined by the implementation of national and EU policies, laws, regulations and guidelines. My core duties as a head of Department involve the overview and support of the agri-food chain in Rhodes and the promotion of a sustainable rural development.
Main tasks:
Planning, coordinating and implementing national strategies in the agricultural sector.
Proposing and implementing national policies in the agricultural sector.
