About Me

The Center for Advanced Studies in Olive Grove and Olive Oils is a research center belonging to the University of Jaén (UJA), which combines a multidisciplinary group of researchers with resources to ensure the advance, development and innovation of the Olive Grove and Olive Oil sector.

This Center pursues this objective by training, research and technological development. This involve to improve the advancement of knowledge and increase the technological level of the companies in the sector and it also to generate scientific and technological knowledge promoting R&D to the olive sector.

The Center for Advanced Studies in Olive Grove and Olive Oils mainly develops research, teaching, dissemination and transfer of knowledge centered on the olive sector and olive oil. This Center aims to be leader in research and knowledge transfer in this sector, including its commited activities to the development of projects, organizing meetings, seminars, publications and any activity that results in the progress of this sector.

Research groups at the Centre are organized into Functional Units, each of them has a person in charge who form part of the Scientific Committee of the Centre. Different units at the Centre are as follows:
