ROUTES wants to enhance the cultural and natural heritage of mountain areas, promote sustainable and responsible
tourism, and actively involve local communities in the conservation and development of their regions. Through education,
training, and awareness-raising, we aim to create a deeper connection between people and their environment, ensuring that
mountain areas are valued and protected for future generations.
The project will map 'hidden treasures' in mountain areas, involving local communities in surveying and documentation.
Training will be differentiated by age, using drawings for children and technologies such as laser scanning for young people.
Promotional events will encourage participation and cultural awareness.
The ROUTES digital archive will be the main platform for the promotion and enhancement of these resources.
The project aims to enhance the cultural and natural heritage of mountain areas by identifying little-known sites and
promoting them through a digital archive. It aims to make the local community aware of the value of their heritage by
providing training in its conservation. Sustainable tourist routes will stimulate the local economy, while international
collaborations will strengthen links between mountain areas. Results will be shared widely to gain recognition and attention.
