We realize that nowadays it is necessary for the students to leave the school education with good knowledge of foreign languages. Knowledge of a foreign languages is one of the basic skills that will ensure greater desirability and competitiveness to future graduates, not only at the domestic but also at European level. Knowledge of a foreign languages will also increase their flexibility and ability to respond to constantly changing situation on the labor market. For this reason we strive for high quality in teaching of foreign languages at preschool level. Systematic training of teaching staff is one of the priorities of the strategic plan for the development of our kindergarten and we actively use a variety of opportunities for professional development of our teaching staff.Project objectivesThe aim of this project is professional development of our teachers, the aim is to increase their expertise and to enhance professional competence in the field of preschool teaching of English language.Through the project, the teachers will become familiar with current trends in methodology of teaching foreign languages in pre-school education, with attractive forms of education that reflect the rapidly changing contemporary world, and the related needs of today's pre-schoolers. Participation in international mobility will be an opportunity for teachers to strengthen their communication skills, thereby increasing their certainty and confidence for the establishment of international partnerships and cooperation, including possible participation in international projects.The number and profile of participants1) Mgr. Kateřina Langrová: University education; Specialization: kindergartener teacher; length of experience: 2 years; additional experience and education: the leader of the English language clubDescription of activitiesWithin the mobility of school staff we would like sent two teachers to undergo language and methodological training course for English teachers in pre-school education in the UK (Brighton), the length of the course: 10 days.Methodology of the projectImplementation of the project will be provided by school project coordinator, who will work closely with participants of the mobility and director of the kindergarten as a statutory responsible for fulfilling of the obligations arising from the project. This team will also be responsible for interim and final evaluation of the project and for managing potential risks.The anticipated results and impact of the project, the potential long-term benefits- Professional development of teachers, increase of their expertise and professional competence in the field of pre-school English language teaching.- The introduction of attractive forms of teaching that reflect the needs and demands of today's preschoolers, including individual learning needs.- Increasing the motivation and interests of children in the English language.- Increasing the motivation and confidence of teaching staff to collaborate and initiate cooperation with foreign partners in the field of pre-school education.- Improving the quality of English language teaching in our kindergarten.- Sharing the experience with colleagues. Participants of the mobility will be contractually obliged to share their experiences, results and lessons learned with their colleagues in the kindergarten.
