The Project "Improvement of methodical and didactical skills of teachers of SZŠ a VOŠZ Plzeň" came into existence because of the need for better methodical and didactical skills of teachers of English, who studied teaching English after graduating from their first college or university. Another objective of the project is to help teachers of Science and humanistic subjects to improve their methodical and didactical usage of ICT in their teaching, their skills and knowledge in using software, online resources and IT technologies. Three English teachers, one teacher of Civics and one teacher of Science are going to take part in the project. The project will be started by pedagogical and intercultural preparation. It will be followed by specialized courses abroad including photo documentation. Other activities will start after the return of the participants. Each of them will describe her/his mobility. The descriptions and brief photo documentation will be published on the school websites www.zdravka-plzen.cz. Each of them will organize a seminar, a tutorial or lecture for their colleagues, who will be introduced to new skills, knowledge, inputs for their teaching and contacts. Each of the participants will write an article about her/his mobility for the school magazine and will discuss with her/his colleagues about the idea of European sense of belonging. For participants we are expecting results and impact as improvement of skills in technologies, awareness of possibilities of ICT integration into teaching, reflexing of usage of technologies in own teaching methods, gaining of practical skills in usage of ICT tools software and freeware, improvement of methodology and didactics in work with technologies, development of language skills and more knowledge about the cultural heritage of Malta with its bilingual environment. On the level of our organization we are expecting higher quality of using attractive and effective teaching methods, better learning outcomes of learners, higher attractiveness of our school having teachers with foreign experience and gaining more potential for international project work.
