The idea of the project called "The Foreign Traineeship as a Good Start for the Future" originated from the Complex of Janusz Groszkowski Schools No 10 in Zabrze, Poland. It aims at improving situation of our students at work markets. We intend to increase the mobility of the students in the field of vocational education in order to adjust their knowledge and skills to the work market requirements. The will develop not only the professional competences, but also their language skills, intercultural awareness, organizational competences and initiative. They will remarkably increase their motivation and self-confidence.The participants of the project will be 24 students of the Complex of Schools who specialise to be IT technicians and electronics technicians. They will leave for Germany on a 4-week traineeship. They will be accompanied by two teachers. The partner organization that takes care of the mobility in Germany is the Vitalis GmbH, which has been organizing such trainings for the last 18 years. Before the mobility, the school will help the students prepare for the nearly one month stay abroad. The students will atend a series of additional German language workshops as well as educational and cultural classes. They will learn vocabulary related to their specializations, increase their motivation and learn about the social and cultural standards in Germany. Thanks to these workshops they will be able to adapt to the conditions in Germany easier, and be a part of the local community. Students will also be insured and will receive some pocket money for their personal expenses.During the internships the students will learn about new technologies and the ways of organizing work in foreign companies, they will gain the practical experience in the fields relevant with their professions. They will thus become atractive workers for their potential employers. The participants will get the ECVET and Europass Mobility certifications, that are widely recognizable in Europe and they will surely be importnant points in the young people CVs.The programme will make our school more recognizable locally and more open to the contemporary educational challenges. Taking part in such project will help us get new allies, new students and more support from the local community, as we will introduce the innovative programs and practices to adapt our teaching to the needs of the work market. The school staff will also benefit from the project, because they will become more open, flexible and innovative in carrying out their professional duties.
