PROJECT
FINISHED
The project Stop Heat Loss: Thermography in Use II follows the implemented project that is based on reducing the amount of energy required for heating and ventilation inside buildings and uses thermography for that. The new project is focused on how to lower unwanted heat losses through buildings and thus reduce heating demands. This can be achieved by a good-quality building envelope with a high-quality external thermal insulation system.
The mobility of students will be divided into two parts. In the first part, participants will study factors that affect microclimate inside a building, they will design an insulation system for the building, will develop the energy label of the building envelope. To achieve this, they will use thermography. Students will use ICT equipment with software that performs the calculation and assessment under applicable national legislation.
In the second part, participants will practise installation of thermal insulation systems. They will work with the latest insulation systems and practically acquire skills that will contribute to reducing energy consumption in building operations.
The mobility deals with these aspects:
- The technical design of the building
- The use of thermography to find points of heat loss and air leaks in existing buildings
- Practical installation methods of thermal insulation
The project follows the content of the educational programs of builder, construction and building maintenance. Its goal is to extend competencies of participants. The participants will gain practical skills, will get to know building insulation systems and materials used abroad, will use ICT technologies, will improve their skills in the field of thermography.
18 students will work in Germany, the UK and Lithuania. The organisations there guarantee high-quality cooperation in vocational education and training of future Czech craftsmen and technicians in construction sector.
The applicant aims to maintain and increase interest in natural science and technical fields.
