This is a project that wants to gather a Multilateral Exchange, 10 youth groups from 10 different European Countries with distinct cultures, but with common environmental concerns. Where young people see the environmental potential of rural areas in its potential socio-economic development, developing social entrepreneurship with respect for their traditions, historical and architectural heritage.
At a time that we are living in a general economic crisis, is possible to see that big cities will increasingly taking inhabitants, and rural areas are becoming more depopulated (Villages of Low Density), and it becomes important to direct the attention of young people to these questions, also with possible solutions, but always with a perspective of a European Sustainable Development.
Through several e creative activities, using a pedagogic methodology, we intend to create a collective effort aiming a European Environmental Awareness, and Rural Areas with Low Density among our young participants as their communities. Work that we are going to do will have a European perspective, where everyone will be involved, promoting environmental protection and Villages of Low Density development.
The name chosen for the project “Youth4Tree2014”, symbolizes the participant countries with their Low Density problems, and potential that these areas have for local and national economy, which should keep efforts to promote development (economic, cultural and social), of these Low Density areas, promoting environmental practices, helping the European Sustainable Development.
