The Cyprus Youth Council as part of its efforts to increase youth involvement in political life is planning the implemendation of the project entitled Youth Up with the aim of engaging young people with alternative forms of participation in the Political life. The idea for the implemendaion of the program came from the Trio Presidency of the EU Council (Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg), which focused on the theme of empowerment of young people (Youth Empowerment). In the context of the Luxembourg Youth Conference young people and policy makers discuss about on engaging young people with alternative forms of participation in order to increase their participation in the Political life at national and European level.Through workshops to be held by the Cyprus Youth Council Pool of Trainers young people will come into contact with the process of the Structured Dialogue and will study the results of the trio Presidency of the EU Council (Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg) knowing the alternative participation methods (eg Sports, Arts etc.), which were extensively discussed in the context of the Luxembourg Presidency. The program aims to empower young people by informing them about their rights and tools they have in their hands, bringing them together with policy makers for youth to discuss together through the structured dialogue process and the ending number Recommendations to increase their involvement in political participation.During the workshops will be presented to the participants the ToolBox Kit which has been prepared by the European Commission with a view to improving and upgrading the Structured Dialogue process and also effectively promote the results of the process.
