Youth Policy Development - Challenges and Achievem

The Seminar “Youth Policy Development - Challenges and Achievements” will be organized for 24 youth workers from Czech Republic, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Germany, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Armenia, Ukraine, and Georgia.Th seminar aim to reviews the EU’s European Youth Strategy in view to its relevance for youth policy development in EECA region. Based on experiences made in EU members states and the local expertise of youth workers from EECA countries conclusions for national youth policy development will be elaborated and corresponding local and international programmes created with the aim to communicate these conclusions to relevant political and societal stakeholders on national level.Concretely the objectives of the training course are:- To reflect on the European Youth Policy and put it into relation to the situation of young people in Europe- To develop conclusions for national youth policy development in EECA countries based on the learning experiences of EU countries and the European youth Policy- To design local and international programmes supporting the realisation of national youth policies in EECA countries tailored to the needs of young peopleIn terms of the content the programme will tackle European Youth Policy, Inclusion and Empowerment of young people, Unemployment of young people and Youth Policy Development and how to influence decision makers in EECA region.The Georgian youth organisation Youth for the World will host the training course in Batumi (Georgia). Its dates are 3rd until 10th of March 2013.
