Youth Parliament Project: Creating a Sustainable Policy Process and Active EU Citizenship among Disengaged Youths.

Youth Parliament Project: Creating a Sustainable Policy Process and Active EU Citizenship among Disengaged Youths creates mutual understanding, inter-cultural learning solidarity, societal engagement and volunteering at Union level as participating organizations have mapped out strategic modalities to encourage transnational mobilities, best practice, emancipation of disenfranchised young peoples' participation in youth policy and politics at the local, regional, national levels to progressively position them in the right democratic and citizenship pedestrian.
In view of this, 'Youth Parliament Project' a 7 day seminar travel days inclusive is organized for 60 young people from EU and Partner Countries, representatives of local and regional youth councils, youth organizations from participating organizations, 10 from UK, 10-Czech, 10-Italy, 10-Romania, 10-Jordan, and 10- Turkey in Manchester @ The Davenport Park Hotel Stockport; from 2-11th April 2015 & 3-10 April 2016 to discuss and offer policy recommendations on Jean-Claude Juncker The EU Commission President's 10 point policy agenda among other issues and as it affects disadvantaged young people at the local levels within EU.
'YPP' aim to create awareness of EU parliamentary policy process, encourage constructive and participatory democracy, human rights; active citizenship, solidarity and tolerance among young people, youth workers etc. through functional contributive EU policy review by participants and communiques sent to EU.
Secondly, 'YPP' aims to engage 60 participants in civic activities in Manchester through ''Citizens Interview'' conducted on EU policies, with a view to raising awareness, reflections and exchange of views with citizens on the relevance and implications of topical EU policies on citizens' daily lives such as EU governance, climate change, sustainable energy and economic aspects of the Europe 2020 strategy.
Thirdly, 'YPP' aims to engage 60 participants in debate, reflection as well as raise awareness of the EU policies on the effects of the implementation of the Lisbon Treaty on European citizens' rights.
