Youth impACT is a project, in which young people network, exchange and develop new perspectives on questions like: How can young people represent their interests? How can young people get involved and take responsibility outside and within school? What are (dis)advantages of representative organisation and representation in general? The target group are active in a representative organisation, such as the students’ representation or the youth council, or in another kind of social or political organisation. The participants from Russia, Germany and Greece will deal with different forms of participation in Europe. Doing that they will use the experience present in the group. In addition, they visit representatives from the field of politics and society and learn and discuss with them what participation on different levels and in different countries can look like.An important objective of the project is to raise the participants' awareness of youth participation, its value and its different forms. The project supports the young people to put their experiences in a bigger context (e.g. democratic society). The participants will create and discuss new ideas for their daily work and enhance competences to cooperate on local and regional levels. All of those things should help with the development of youth participation on local and regional levels with a global perspective. The intercultural competences, which are addressed and worked on during the exchange, can help young people to understand others better and to be ready for dialogue in Europe as well as on global level. The participants will document the project with online articles, which you can read on the different websites of the partner organisations during and after the project.
