Youth Centres and urban youth street culture

The overall aim of the Training Course“Youth Centres and urban youth street culture”(Banja Luka,Bosnia Herzegovina,20–30 April 2013),proposed by the hosting organisation "Zdravo da ste-Hi neighbour",is to create an international opportunity for 27 youth workers,peer educators,young artists from Programme and SEE countries to empower Youth Centres activities and methodologies in the field of youth street culture in order to better support young people coming from less privileged conditions in their social and cultural development and promote their full citizenship and participation.Objectives are:support innovation and quality of non formal education in youth work and Youth Centres acquiring and developing new methodologies,activities and competences;improve the youth work that our NGOs and Youth Centres are doing with young people coming from disadvantaged backgrounds to empower their social and cultural development and increase their inclusion opportunities;explore new competences and knowledge concerning urban street culture through 3 specific workshops;share with the hosting local community the outcomes of the project activities;plan a follow up to multiply the methodologies applied and the concrete results achieved.All the activities planned,from preparation till follow up,will guarantee the full involvement and the free expression of participants in a process in which all the partners and participants will have a role as much participative as possible using methods of non-formal education.During the project will be realized icebreaker games,team building,an association fair,intercultural evening and dynamics,Open Space activities,field visits,3 practical workshops using different languages,techniques and tools (street painting and graffiti,hip hop music and dance,street theatre and juggling),sharing activities with local community to present projects outcomes,sessions on future projects,several evaluation moments both practical aspects and fundamental contents.
