Youth exchange “Youth brings the Change” will take place in Craiova, Romania from 2 May till 11 May 2016 and will gather 32 young people from Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland.Every child, young person is a member of society, have equal right as adults to choose what will be best for their cities, especially because they going to live in those cities in future.From our point of view active participation of young people in decisions and actions at local and national level is essential, to build more democratic, inclusive and prosperous societies. It’s not only about voting one time in few year, it’s about creating beautiful places around you. Is important to mention, that every young person is unique and have their own way to express themselves in environment (community) and sometimes is difficult for them to realize that something that they are good at, can be helpful in developing their cities.Therefore it is crucial that young people will have chance to see, share and to try different type examples on implementing creative ideas in development of the cities, in order to let them choose what is more suitable for them. All stated above, we tried to formulate in our main aim: “Stimulate young people to get more involved in the development of their cities by providing them creative successful examples that would be suitable for them.”The objectives of youth exchange, that we will reach during 8 month of duration of the project:1. Provide for 32 young people creative successful examples of ways of development of their cities.2. Create space for 32 young people where they can exchange good examples of implementing creative ideas in cities.3. Obtain necessary competences and skills that 32 young people needed for development of their cities4. Spread creative successful examples of ways of development cities by young people among 6 partner countries.During 10 days of the projects, youngsters that came from 6 European countries will:obtain creative successful examples of ways of development of their cities; exchange good examples of implementing creative ideas in cities; exchange creative ideas implemented in their cities; obtain necessary competences and skills needed for development of their cities; implement their own events/campaigns;organize photovoice exhibition in the city center of Craiova, during Europe day (9th of May 2016)present and discuss their ideas to local decision makers and municipality; create and promote brochure of creative successful examples how can young person help in city development Project based on non-formal methods that promoting active citizenship and personal development by initiating young people to take responsibility, initiative and tackle the challenges.Biggest impact will be on 32 participants, that will significantly improve themselves and find suitable for them way to develop their cities. Impact on the local level will be:• Raise awareness on Erasmus+ program and its opportunities - Raised desire to participate in such projects- Raise awareness some issues in Craiova- Become multipliers regarding the activities of our project- Feeling proud of their city- Contact with young people from 6 countries, discover their culture - Receive brochure with creative successful examples of ways of development cities by young peopleWe think that this project will bring new wave of youth and adults involvement and cohesion towards together developing cities around Europe and beyond it.
