This training course will gather 25 participants of every age and gender, coming from France, Cyprus, Romania, Macedonia, Estonia, Poland and Czech Republic. It will take place from the 5th to the 15th of September 2016, in the small village of Ganties, very near the Pyrenean mountains at a hundred kilometers from Toulouse.It will take place in English and aims at raising the issue of the relation to the body, among youth workers of different European countries (a great part of them working with youth with less opportunity), through the use and practice of the cultural, artistic and physical activity of contemporary dance.Participants will have the opportunity to discover this discipline, but also the work of an occupational therapist and the practice of dance-therapy, thanks to presentations and workshops facilitated by professionals, creations and facilitations of workshops, attendance to a contemporary dance show...They will get to develop their creativity by staging a short dance performance which will be presented to an audience; further to the transmission of techniques and pedagogical tools they will have to facilitate workshops themselves, with specific participants (children, teenagers with difficulties, mentally challenged adults...). All that in a good environement, suitable to learning and in the repect of the values of citizenship, ecology and solidarity that are ours and our partners'.The objectives of this training course show different aspects linked to the issue of the relation to the body that are complementary to us:-personal development: to grow ways of being more at ease with one's body is linked to self-confidence, to blossoming (better relation to others, improving school or wrok results...)-cultural discovery (of contemporary dance, of the culture of others...)-development of creativity (group creations of body language and dance)-raising awareness of the needs of improving our way of life (food, physical practice, management of stress...)- through facilitations of workshops with specific participants and guidance of professionals, development of pedagogical and facilitation tools on the topic of dance and body language-development of competences on collective, democratic and healthy everyday life functionning all along the training courseThe methodology applied will be fully participative, consistent with the values of popular education, facilitators and trainers will lead the participants to a process of reflection and creation which will make them fully actors of their learning.Thanks to the transmission of tools (exercices, activities, techniques, theoretical knowledge...)materialised in a pedagogical booklet and short videos of the training course (both realised by the participants themselves), the participants will be able to take advantage of those practices and tools, to make them theirs and to re-use them in their own environment with the people they work with, but also to spread them in their network and rely on them for further projects.
