Young Europeans dealing with product creation, design and marketing
Start date: Sep 1, 2015,
End date: Aug 31, 2018
PROJECT
FINISHED
The project will focus on the sense of invention among young European pupils enabeling them to create a product for the use in every day life, to design this product, to study market chances and to realise a marketing campaign.
In a first step pupils will be asked to develop ideas for a new product of simple technical impact that people - especially young people or pupils - are supposed to like/to need/to want. By comparing their ideas they will discover in how far they are similar or based on the specific culture of their country. They will agree on the most convincing product ideas and do a technical design Further on they will analyse in how far the product/s could succeed in the markets of the partner countries. They will study suitable materials and create specific marketing campaigns for the national markets and the European market. A prototype of the product will be realised and presented to the public.
Due to the diversity of the five European partner schools taking part in the project and their respective profiles, all project partners will benefit from their specific excellence:
1. Lycée des metiers Dhuoda, Nîmes (France): technical design, technology and coordination of the project
2. Hohe Landesschule Hanau (Germany): economic studies, design and tools of project-management
3. IES Cid Campeador (Spain): tools of evaluation
4. Escola Secundária de Emídio Navarra, Viseu (Portugal): marketing
5. Gimnazjum nr 11 im. Obrońców Westerplatte, Gdańsk (Poland): technical design, materials, project web-site
The project includes also the support by external experts for professional technical design, economic studies and marketing.
The project will allow all participants to learn essentials of project-management, improve their practice of foreign languages. They will perform their digital skills by using ITC based methodologies in communication, presentation, design and media.
