YE - Youth on the Move

Project "Youth on the Move" is a initiative of young people who were EVS volunteers in Narviksenteret organisation in 2014-2015. Together we would like to continue our cooperation and involve in it more people and partner organisations. By using tools of European Commission we would like to share our experience with other youngsters and promote opportunities which give European cooperation.Our Project "Youth on the Move" takes in consider issue of youngsters' migration in modern society. It includes 5 organisations from Norway, Serbia, Germany, France and Italy and takes place in Prijepolje in Serbia. Every organisation should find 5 participants and one leader. It is important to keep gender balance in every group. Participants are aged between 20 and 28 years and they are highly involved in a topic. Before project they should prepare one presentation for each group about migration in their countries which will be presented during Youth Exchange. They should also be able to communicate in english. Duration of project is 8 days + 2 days for travel. Project will be based on a wide topic of migration and its objectives are to exchange and analyses common experiences, to see which opportunities and obstacles are provided into the field of migration, to develop and understand of different aspects of migration and the relations in the context of class, race and geographical dichotomy, to build new partnerships between participants and to develop a European work programme of youth projects dedicated to migration.The programme will involve several levels of interaction and learning. During interactive workshops people will share experiences and ideas. The programme shall be structured such as to respond to the expectations, the needs and the interests of participants. The aspiration will be to create a democratic atmosphere of tolerance. Peace building activities and team work are taking big part of this project, as well European tools which provide big field of act for young people. Active participation and contribution of participants will be ensured by using interactive way of presenting information and knowledge about specific topics. Activities will focus on group work, learning by doing approach, exercises made through simulation, and role-play and other, as well as theoretical inputs will form the basis of the study session. A range of working methods will be combined in order to encourage every participant to participate actively in the sessions and to approach the issues of the study session in an interdisciplinary way. Every day of activities will be summed up by reflection and we will provide final evaluation in last day when all participants will share their opinions about project, if they expectation are fulfilled or what they have learned.Last day will also deliver an opportunity to receive YouthPass Certificate which will include all new skills and competences of participants gain via non-formal learning during Youth Exchange. It can be important document for their career on labour market. Young people also will get to know more European Commission's tools which can provide more chances for increasing their awareness and inclusion in democratic society as e.g. Erasmus+ program which also will support this activity. It will be presented various activities included in Erasmus+ program as EVS and especially we former EVS-volunteers can share our experience in this topic. Summary of the project will be concluded in a report. It would be a final activity which should show results of Youth Exchange and achieved goals. It will consist every part of our Exchange from preparation to final evaluation, with participants' opinion and photographic documentation. It can be used by youngsters, youth workers and organisations in a future cooperation. We will also use social media to promote our project and show its results for more people. Our participants will share their new-gained knowledge with other young people by talking about "Youth on the Move" project's results in their countries. This project will strenghten links between youth participants, their organisations and promote European cooperation and mobility. It will be also summary of cooperation between us, eight former EVS-volunteers which we will maintain in the future plans.
