The congregations of the Luteran churches in Volda and Nyírtelek have a friendship agreement and have had contact for some years. We have been looking for ways to develope this friendship agreement and involv the youths in this. The Erasmus+ Youth Exchange seems to be an oppotunity for us to to achieve our aims in this area. Both partners are Lutheran churches, but is different because of culture, policy and profile. Volda has work extensively with leadership training for young volunteers. Nyirtelek has worked extensively with minority Romas especially social and diaconal. We can learn a lot about the similarities and differences between these church. And we can learn from how the partner work as a church and then particularly among children and youths. As churces it is natural for us to collect examples and inspiration from the biblical narratives in leadership training.Youths from the Roma Youth group in Nyírtelek will be invited to join the group exchange. During the visit in Nyírtelek the participants will visit the Roma village and help in the programs the congregation runs thereThe main objectives for the Youth Exchange are to:- Train young volonteer leaders in both congregation- Develop a common leader training program for young volonteer leaders in Volda and Nyírtelek- Develop the contact between youths in Volda and NyírtelekYouth Exchanges will be implemented as two visits, one in Volda, Norway and one in Nyirletek, Hungary with the same 12 participants from each partner. In Volda participants will stay together at the YMCA's youth house or a camp site. In Nyirtelek they will stay together in the church. The visit in Volda are planned to be 18. - 23. June 2016. The visit in Nyirtelek are planned to be 16. - 20. August 2016.The program will be a mix of theoretic lessons, practicing leadership, social and cultural activities and experience. If we succeed with the project we believe that the participants will:• increase their sense of initiative and entrepreneurship and their self-empowerment and self-esteem;• be more active as young leaders in their congregation and local community and in this way will be more active participation in society• enhanced their intercultural awareness • improve their foreign language competences• get motivation for taking part in future education or training. If we suceed the participating organisations will:- get trainedyoung volunteer leaders in both congregation- develop a joint leader training program for Volda and Nyírtelek that can be use in the comming years
