YCC – Youth, Culture, Conflict

YCC is a Youth in Action – Action 3.1 seminar for youth workers and youth leaders from 11 countries Albania, Bosnia And Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, Republic of Macedonia, Italy, Spain, Slovakia,Turkey, Germany & Poland that will be held in Pogradec , Albania on 10-16 April 2013. The seminar focuses on tackling ethnic, national and cultural conflicts faced by young people and communities in participant countries and ways of addressing them in youth work. The seminar will be a platform for exchange of good practice as well as an opportunity for youth workers EU and SEE countries to become more familiar with youth work reality in the European Union. The seminar’s programme is based on non-formal education methods and will include a review of main ethnic conflict theories as well as conflict transformation tools. The seminar also focuses on local impact and highlighting human rights issues in South-East Europe. As an outcome of the project we expect participants to be better equipped to engage with ethnic tension and conflict in their communities and to foster active youth participation and intercultural dialogue.
