European service project called "working with children and teenagers in Janakkala" is a long term voluntary project which lasts 11 months. Project is coordinated by Janakkalan kunnan nuorisopalvelut. The main goals are to face the local children and teenager and work with them in schools, kindercarten and youth services. There are two volunteers from different countries at the same time in this project.Volunteers work in the different working places during this project. In schools volunteers work like a leaders and they presents they own culture, language and EVS project. They participate also leisure time activities and participate whole school life expecially in the small schools where that is more easy. In kindercarten volunteers play with children and they also have opportunity to teach some games, plays or arts and crafts from they own countries.In youth services volunteers work in youth centres, they do street work, events and camps. They will also plan and do international work camp during project.The main idea of the project is to reach multicultural experiences and education among those children and teenagers who don't have so much oppotunities to face different cultures in their lives. Also giving positive rolemodels and experiences about different habits, languages and culture is very important in these days to whole community. Project will be evaluated regularly with project organizations, workers, volunteers, children and teenagers. All the necessary changes will be done quicly. All the experiences will be spread out with the help of volunteers blog, workers meetings, local newspaper and partners.
