Working together!
Start date: Dec 1, 2011,

If you posses a will to help others, have the wish to work for the community benefits, posses the motivation to be active, to meet people, to exchange ideas and to work with different profiles of people regardless their cultural, political, religious background then you HAVE to be a volunteer. To be a volunteer means more than having fun with peers, it means to work for and on behalf of others, to improve human quality of life. There are many ways to volunteer and take active part in society. But what is the number of people that know the opportunities out there? The youth exchange "Working together" will have this as a main theme of discussion. By using interesting and fun non-formal methods of learning like teambuilding, role plays, simulations, practice, as well as motivating participants to use creativity in practice. The exchange will introduce the topic of what means to be a volunteer, what opportunities exist in Europe, what kinds of volunteering you can do, how by being active you can improve community life, to 35 youngsters coming from Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Spain and Albania. The participants will have a chance to learn and broaden knowledge, to see and to explore ways of helping and volunteering, they will have a chance to experience volunteering in practice and work for the benefit of the local community. Through the 8 days they will be in Macedonia, the topic of European common values that we all share will also be introduce to them, and an opportunity for countries part of EU and non-part of EU will be provided to explore possible cooperation on the theme of volunteering. MCEYP will be the hosting organization of the event.
