WOODPORT -Recognition of competences in vocational education and training in formal, non-formal, informal context in wood and furniture sector.

Starting point: the need of a European assessment system and an updated European competence portfolio.End point: standardization of vocational education and training functional to wood and furniture companies in all Europe, since increasingly mobility is required by labour market. Starting from school years can mean:- give European students the same competences at the end of an educational course;- fill up differences between school competences and labour market- give students a chance to experience cross border mobility.A survey about new job profiles required by local companies is a first necessary step in order to define short term trends; to experiment new tools and methods and their validation back to school is the last one.
