PROJECT
FINISHED
The project "Women as Spiritus Movens-towards equailty in the European civilization", concentrates on the current and vital needs of our students. We have focused particularly on: students’ insecurities concerning their education and employment and how to cope with these issues, the teenagers presence in the virtual world, issues of prejudice and social exclusion. With this project we aim to raise hopes and reduce the stigma of social and personal failure and exclusion.
We want to support youth activeness in the fields of healthy lifestyle and work pro publico bono.
We aim to treat a foreign language and the use of IT skills not as the main purpose of the project but as a tool to achieve other goals. This project reflexes the call for entrepreneurship and adjusts to the situation in secondary education where there is a need of linking education with the practical solutions.
Our priority is students taking responsibility for their learning process e.g via students’ individual mobilities. With the constant demand to enhance quality of teachers’ work we wish to create exchange of ideas and teaching experience and introduce a manual of good practice.
This project will respond to the needs of the rapidly changing world in which the youth needs to take active participation so that they could be aware European Union citizens.
The various disciplines involved will contribute to promote solid foundation skills – such as literacy, and transversal key competences - such as learning to learn, sense of initiative (both in teachers and students) and entrepreneurship, social, civic and cultural competences, mathematical and logical thinking.
This project aims to cope with the need of internationalization of our schools in order to be able to deal with future demands, the need to educate competent European citizens by improving all their basic competences, the need of improving our teaching/learning skills according to the new challenge in education in the 21st century, which highlights the importance of science and logical thinking.
This project takes into account the multiple intelligences that can be used and promoted.
The situation of women differs from country to country, but all the schools involved agreed on the importance of working towards the equality in many fields: civil rights, salaries, decision-taking, participation in public life, early dropout from school and job opportunities. Gender violence is one of our main worries and we have the need to make use of education and European experience to prevent any kind of discrimination and to enhance mutual understanding between men and women.
Students are an active part in planning, development and evaluation of the project.
Our project puts emphasis on students’ engagement into social, political and economic life, which will result in their unbiased choices in the future.
In this project the emphasis is on development of students and teachers’ digital skills, through the use of new i-tools, applications for tablets and smartphones, e-books, online newspapers, digital open educational resources.
Our aim is a shift from getting purely academic knowledge to gaining real, practical skills, which would improve their future employment opportunities.
Objectives are explained in such a way that they are measurable and quantifiable via indicators.
To evaluate aims, tasks, project activities, project meetings and product/results, we have developed a "Follow-up and Measurement Plan". In such a plan, quantitative and qualitative ways of evaluation will be taken into account.
Although this plan has been prepared by teachers, students will play a significant part in it. They will learn how to elaborate surveys and how to make the treatment of the data in order to write different evaluation reports using tables, percentages and graphics.
Open Educational Resources, such as Manual of Good Practices and Women as Spiritus Movens Pedagogical programme, and all the products (APP, Q.R Codes, online newspaper, e-book, documentary film, dvd with performances, digital time axis, glogsters, prezi presentations, scientisfic researchs, bussiness ideas, etc.) will be always available for free download through the links offered in the website, blog, twinspace and Erasmus+ Dissemination platform.
Main participants, students and teachers, will see how their key competences are improved significantly by participating in this project.
Students will enhance their digital skills and analytical abilities. They will raise their awareness about EU citizenship, women influence on European civilization development as well as healthy nutrition. They will be encouraged to fight against social exclusion, limit stigmatization of young people and act as volunteers. During the project students will acquire the skills in accurate translation and proper social interaction. They will learn to appreciate the role of their own and other cultures and women’s contribution to the development of Europe.
