The project contributes to a further training of teachers and trainers in the branches of logistics, wholesale trade, mechanics and automation and is supposed to prepare them for the new challenges of competence-oriented vocational training. The project concentrated on the identification and dissemination of suitable teaching methods and material for a systematic promotion of competences in the mother tongue, in mathematics, in English as a foreign language and in intercultural knowledge in combination with vocational contents. A quality management for the evaluation of teaching and learning methods as well as of learning material was elaborated. Via web platforms (virtual Handbook), teaching material from the participating countries was disseminated and transferred. A module for intercultural competences was developed which imparts peculiarities of the branches and cultures in a practical way. This module was tested by students in all participating countries. At the end of the project, another module "Sustainable packaging" was developed which is also included in the wiki.
