We speak music - beyond cultural prejudice
Start date: May 1, 2016, End date: Apr 30, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

''We speak music-beyond cultural prejudice''Our project aims at creative expression through instrumental, vocal and painting art, in other words auditory and sensory symbolism of a human intercultural dialogue that rises beyond any kind of prejudice imposed by the society. One of the most important goals of the project is to show the marginalised groups of population such as foreigners (refugees and migrants) through the art lenses, portraying the media impact on human perception, discussing current topics of migration and means of integration to a particular society, providing an opportunity for young people for creative and verbal input to the project.''We speak music-beyond cultural prejudice'' is an Austro-Bosnian project in a form of cooperation with association "IZVORNIK", supported by the small painting workshop ''Paleta''from Zvornik, Bosnia and Herzegovina and VEREIN "We speak: youth" in cooperation with Theatre studio "Werk X" from Vienna, Austria. Project is to gather up to 80 young people from these two countries in two main activities and create a unique mix of theatrical expression, music and joint painting of a given theme, guided by Austrian and Bosnian experts. Main tasks will be creating a performance and exhibition inspired by current issues of marginalised populations, cultural and religious fears of the unknown, prejudices imposed by the media and society.Except for theatre and painting, project will include musical performances again, as it proved to be a very successful means of creativity encouragement and simply auditory enjoyment for all involved. Project will take place both in Austria and Bosnia, in two stages with a month apart which will suffice for the logistics and preparation stage.
