The project "We have the same beat!" is a transnational youth initiative which aims to involve young people in the creation / implementation of attractive activities together with young people with disabilities in order to sustain their integration and overcoming prejudices and discriminatory attitudes of community members.It will run for 29 month and will involve a total of 30 young people, of which 15 with special needs. The partner countries are Romania, France and Italy. Young people will be encouraged to work together on specific activities and workshops, representing a progressive training to the final show "Leave the sign "which will close the project and will present a group of young people working together in an attempt to "break the wall", a metaphor to represent the promotion of social inclusion of youth with disabilities.The project represents a youth initiative developed in a context-based on non-formal education methods. It is in line with increasing living standards and quality of life of young people with special needs by addressing emotional content and expressive activities, respecting the fundamental rights of persons with disabilities, promoting non-discrimination, equal opportunities and social change.A guide will be developed during the lifetime of the project "Leave a sign!" which is a learning material adressed to youth workers and volunteers that are wanted to develop inclusive activities for youth with special needs. The material contain detailed activities (based on nonformal methods), tips and guidelines to communicate an interact with disabled persons.
