“We Grow For Change!” is EVS project. Three volunteers from France, Latvia and Czech Republic will meet in the middle of Slovakia to join activities of ARTKRUH. This organization reside small traditional village of Prenčov in rural region of Hont. As other rural areas, Hont is facing several problems as unemployment, traditional conservatism, passivity about collective issues and lack of opportunities for social and cultural life. Objective of our project is to support the process of change in the region towards modern rural lifestyle. By our activities we explore possibilities of sustainable individual and community lifestyle in the countryside. Activities are focused on permacultura, crafts, event management, providing local living museum "Black kitchen", educational activities and implementation of non-formal education in formal educational system. Special attention is paid to community building, ecological, economical and social sustainability. This project is opportunity to support our activities by enthusiasm of young people, who want to discover their talents and get new skills in this field. On the other hand we offer them the frames and experiences of our organization. They can get orientation in the topics, but also reach practical skills, working responsibility and get used to a daily routine. After one year they will become experienced and skilled, prepared to lead their own projects, to make positive changes in their home environment.
