"We can we will" is a youth exchange that will take place in Dilijan, Armenia in July 2014. The activity will last for 9 days. 28 participants will come together from 4 EU and Non- EU countries. Partner Countries are: Armenia, Estonia, Latvia, Ukraine.
The project aims are: formation and support a sense of unity and tolerable way of thinking for youth with fewer opportunities, promotion of European values. Also in conditions of the development of intercultural communication mechanisms involving young people with fewer opportunities in the processes of civil society, both at the local, national and European levels, as well as tools to facilitate greater involvement of young people in society; promote intercultural dialogue, through the using of non-formal education. We want to stimulate interest and participation to the European values and opportunities for self-realization and education provided updated program Erasmus+ by Armenian and Ukrainian participants for supporting for cooperation in the youth field in Europe.
Despite the fact that they all speak different languages, they will find common ways of communication with one another by discovering a new breath of culture in Russian. During the exchange the participants will present their own countries, own heritage, traditions, culture, habits, languages and will try to teach each other. To achieve the principal goals of the project we’ll use different activities, such as: group discussions, presentations, cultural evenings, simulation games, performances and other team-building activities. Activities held in different areas will encourage participants to express emotions and share between each other. This is one of the methods which will help them to learn more about one another. Non-formal education will be the main method used to create cultural understanding. During cultural evening participants will have a chance to present their culture using national dancing, singing and games. In this way participants will learn about one another’s culture in a fun & interactive way.
Another point that project will let the young people to know that we work together and learn from each other. Supporting interaction among peers can foster some of the most fruitful learning because peers often share a deep understanding of each others’ common challenges, experiences, and practices, and have developed valuable expertise in their fields. We will use non formal learning as a good tool in youth work and youth participation.
