From the success we have and the experience we gained from our ongoing EVS project "Better future together" we decided to continue our activities with another EVS project. Presented project ”We are one” involves volunteers from UK, Spain, Germany and Italy and four organizations: Cultural Center 20:19 acting as coordinating and hosting organization. OpportUNITY (UK) and Associazione B-Link (Italy), Experiment e.V. – The Experiment of International Living (Germany) and Jovesolides(Spain) acting as sending organizations. The main subject of the project and planned activities is the promotion of the European Awareness and celebration of European Year of Citizens, as well as fighting against any forms of discrimination with the help of innovative and engaging methods. Through hard and dedicated work performed by volunteers with help and support from the organizations involved in the project, we are aiming at reaching the following objectives: emphasizing the vital role of young Europeans in shaping and creating a better future of the continent. The title of the project shows, how strongly we believe that international voluntary service can bring a positive change: we see it as an enriching factor, that helps us to be more open, tolerant, know more and understand better the world around us. Volunteers will work mainly with the youth, especially focusing on the group with fewer opportunities. Their working methods will be based on the concept of non-formal education and will be realized through workshops, awareness-raising campaigns or organizing local and international meetings of young people. Thanks to the activities carried out by the four volunteers, we hope to achieve the following effects: mostly, empower young people from all over Bulgaria, showing them that they have many great chances to develop themselves in the fields of art and show their ideas to the world. What’s more, we want to contribute to building a more respectful and diverse societies, where there is no place for prejudices or hatred.
