Start date: May 1, 2015, End date: Apr 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

"WAVE 2: Surfing for Environment, Sustainability and Health in the Atlantic Ocean" project is a multilateral youth exchange with 35 youngsters from 6 EU Countries, that will happen in summer 2015 near Aveiro and the Atlantic coast in Portugal, under the KA1 of Erasmus+ program. The project aims to promote the active and responsible involvement of youngsters, their adoption of healthier lifestyles, particularly through practice of sports, contact and respect for the environment and awareness about healthy nutrition and wellbeing. The several proposed activities encourage self-development of participants, through the stimulation of creative thinking, pro-activity and sense of initiative. Besides, set of activities that will be implemented aim to increase the teamwork and cooperation leading to the respect and the tolerance toward diversity among participants. Lastly, participants will be challenged to raise their awareness about environmental issues, involving their own local community. Results will be shared with locals, giving extra visibility to the project and to the Program Erasmus+. This is the second edition of last year's successful Youth in Action exchange - WAVE Project, with the intention to multiply the positive results and outcomes reported by the participants and partners involved.
