The project will develop specific training tools in the field of Waste Management which will be based on the new principles of European Environmental Policy and European Waste Management Policy. The project will target groups involved with the disposal of solid waste including decision makers at the strategic levels, strategic and operational managers working in public, governmental and municipalities, staff dealing with waste in their every-day work, students. As no easily accessible training tools exist on this subject, the project will fill a discernible gap in the market. Project partners will produce an e-learning training programme on solid waste management for 8 countries, which will consider EU legislative requirements and existing best practice. Certification will be available for successful completion of the training from the project partners.
