Solid waste management and the recycling isdustry have a strong growth potential, and are of a strategic importance to the economy and processes a deep value chain with large number of SMEs and individual scrap collectors in CEEC and SEEC. There is a a clear need for professional training in the field of waste management.As Hungary faces very similar ecological problems related to waste collection and social structure of waste collectors, the aim of the WASTE project is to adapt existing knowledge to hungarian needs. The specific adult education on waste management and environmental management should be used for an effective scrap collection and scrap recycling, and as an additional possibility, for establishing the foundations for small and medium sized enterprises in Hungary.
