In EVS project “Walk’n’talk” Liepaja Children and youth centre starting from the 1st of August 2016 till the 30th of April 2017 will host two young people from Italy and Spain.Project aims to promote understanding about the development of the European society through non-formal learning methods and intercultural dialogue. The main task for volunteers will be to raise awareness about European society, existing systems, processes and possibilities of projects and mobility among children and youth. In collaboration with the volunteers, sending and hosting organizations new mobility projects will be drawn up within program ERASMUS+. It will be a great opportunity to attract more local young people to the activities the centre and motivate them to do EVS abroad. Through working in Children and youth centre volunteers will gain knowledge in using non-formal methods in work with children and youth, its importance and impact on the learning process. Also how to choose appropriate methods to promote progress towards goals, successfully manage time and organize work, collaborate with other young people and organizations. They will learn how to integrate non-formal education methods in education of interests to achieve more efficient results, promote personal growth of children and young people and achieve certain knowledges and skills. So after the project volunteers will be able to successfully return back and start independent work or get involved in sending or other youth work organizations.
