The aim of the project " On the road to democracy" is to start cooperation between young people involved in student organizations from Polish and Ukrainian universities. Participants from both countries are engaged in dialogue between Poland and Ukraine, they are interested in contemporary history, also they are aware of need to find common routes of national identity. Other goals of project are: establish cooperation between Polish and Ukrainian students organizations, getting to know recent history of both countries (also culture and heritage), support young people as a leaders of ngo’s and youth organizations. Youth exchange will engaged 50 participants (25 from each country, 2 leaders for each group). The main activities are: workshops concerning political and social transformations during last 25 years, workshops presented problematic and common points in historical relations in XX and XXI century. The second workshop is on effective management of non-governmental organization, planning future cooperation and activities for example in the frame of Erasmus+ Programme. The biggest result of the project will be script of lessons (using non-formal methods) for young people from secondary schools from both countries. Workshops will be provided by participants after youth exchange. The final activity of youth exchange will be outdoor event in Wlodawa for local community: “Day of Ukraine”.
