Volunteers at the Waldorf School 2016

In order to make stronger non-formal education at Adazu Free Waldorf School (ABVS) we will realize project "Volunteers at the Waldorf School 2016". ABVS will host two volunteers for 10 months from Georgia and Spain. Girl from Georgia, who has just graduated faculty of philosophy, will work with kindergarten children aged 3-6 years, while the young man from Spain, who have degree in pedagogy will work in all age’s classes. Volunteers, through their own creative initiative will contribute to the school and the kindergarten daily work. Main theme of project is art and culture, education and outdoor activities. The main aim is to give opportunity to explore different cultures by common activities. During project time volunteers will be acquainted with Waldorf teacher training methods and there will be used non-formal education and intercultural learning. All partners get new experience and knowledge.Volunteers will get practical experience in work with children, they will have possibility to take responsibility and be permanent. Volunteers will experience cultural differences and similarities when they will learn more about Latvia and our traditions and compare with their own traditions.For pupils this Project will be as great motivation and a good way to learn about other countries and to overcome the fear of communication in a foreign language, as well as pupils will learn more about the program Erasmus + .The school will be able to diversify its teaching methods, thus making the learning process more interesting and exciting. In addition, the school will develop new partnerships in Georgia and Spain. Sending organizations will have new partners in Latvia and they will get volunteers who are more knowledgeable and experienced.
