As our country is included into European Union for several years our organisation would like to be closer to European and also non-European nations and to understand their cultures better. At the same time we will do the best to get our culture closer to awareness of other nations. Through mutual learning and exchanging of experience we would like to achieve cognition of diversity of individual nations. For these reasons we decided to realize project with the name: Volunteering- Many nations-One heart which is aimed at deepening of creative activities and knowledge about traditions, customs and languages of different nations. By this project we want to achieve learning of volunteers with children by the fact that despite of language barriers it is possible to reach unification and cooperation between them.
We are applying for two volunteers who should be persons with vitality and desire to cooperate and work with children and youth. Volunteers should be able to make contacts with national minority and people from socially weaker areas. Through mutual learning volunteers together with children and youth will acquire awareness and knowledge about their countries. The volunteer will then pass her knowledge and experience within various activities such as photo sessions, handicraft, theater performances, teaching languages etc. During whole project volunteers will aim to final open space which will be under their direction. As a part of open space there will be several workshops and exhibitions and language stand focused on the topic of the project.
Thanks to the presence of volunteers the established stereotypes and everyday routine of volunteers and children and workers as well will be broken.
We see the contribution of this project in claryfying of diferences, removing of language barriers and especially in understanding and learning knowledge of various cultures. Volunteers will acquire practise in cooperation with children and youth in our organisation. We see the benefit also in the area of education as far as customs and traditions are concerned.
