"Volunteer for a career" project is a bilateral EVS initiative among Croatia and Armenia.The project is implemented in Armenia. The duration of the project is 12 months and 1 volunteer from Croatia is involved in it.1 young volunteer that is unemployed will develop their key skills and competences and enriched with new experiences be empowered to achieve successes in professional and personal life after their volunteer service. Volunteer will be more competitive on the labor market and will use all the skills gained and competences developed. The themes of project are Youth Policies, International cooperation, international relations, development cooperation. The objectives are to develop solidarity and to promote tolerance among young people, foster mutual understanding between youngsters in different countries, to develop the capabilities of civil society organizations. The specific priority is Active citizenship, social inclusion and solidarity of young people (according to The EU Youth Strategy 2010 - 2018).The implemented activities include the participation of volunteer in all educational process with the innovative non-formalmethods. Activities are implemented in 2 directions: first one is connected with learning process of foreignlanguages. Organizing and conducting different events - film screening, discussion clubs, meetings and other types ofnon-formal education promote development of communication skills, as well as public speaking and oral skills of Universitystudents which contributes to practicing of their theoretical knowledge gained during the academic education. Second directionis connected with participation of EVS volunteer in activities of YSULSS Career Center and Graduates Association. Volunteer participates in organization process of different youth events in University and out of it. Also volunteer contributes to development of networking with partner organizations, establishing new contacts for possible cooperation. The project is open to new initiative of volunteers: new ideas and creativity are always appreciated. All this activities of volunteers encourage and motivate local youth towards the new challenges. It also promotes the self development of volunteers, tolerance and intercultural learning.Reflecting on the project, evaluating and also through follow-up and dissemination of the project and its´ results, it will have a wider impact not only on participants and partner organizations but also on local communities and other youth in each participating country and wider.
