Fundació Autònoma Solidària is located in Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) Campus, Cerdanyola del Vallès (Barcelona), Catalonia, Spain. The organisation's aim is to contribute to build a more cohesive university committed to social reality, through the promotion of voluntary participation of the university community and to work to ensure equal opportunities. The Foundation believes strongly in the values of voluntary work and for this reason integrates into his team people who want to work selflessly to develop their activities. The participation of the organization in European Voluntary Service projects allows fulfilling the goal of promoting the voluntary work values. It is an opportunity to promote intercultural awareness while hosting young people from other countries who can provide new knowledge for the development of the organization's activities. The Foundation has hosted 4 young europeans who have lived at the University Village during the academic year. They cooperate as a volunteers in the activities and projects promoted by the Foundation, amb others, the Disability Attention Program, Volunteering Programs, Development Cooperation Program or the Health Promotion Program. Volunteers are between 19 and 20 years old and the come from 3 german entities (Experiment eV, Kölner Freiwilligen Agentur eV and LeISA GmbH). The volunteer has been part of the foundation's team and they have supported them during the realization of activities driven from different areas taking the opportunity to know the work in non-profit organizations.
