Voices of Europe 2011 will be a week filled with a mix of debates, singing, cultural and sportive activities. From several minority regions in Europe, youngsters will travel to Fryslân, the Netherlands. From the 4th until the 10th of the July 2011 the temporary choir will study to learn sheet music in all minority languages present and will get to know more about Europe (politics, laws, structure) and linguistic diversity in Europe. This will be done under the guidance of a professional conductor (singing), employees of RML2future (linguistic diversity) and employees of YEN (European minority politics, laws and EU structure). After 4 days of rehearsing in the choir, the first concert will be given. In total, 3 concerts will be given. The concerts are moments to inform a large group of people about minority langauges and the linguistic diversity. The concerts will be accessible for a large audience. A lot of attention will be asked for the concerts on the internet (twitter, facebook, websites), in the regional newspapers and on the regional television and radio. One of the concerts will be recorded, so the end of the week will not be the end of the music that will be made. Next to the rehearsing and debates, there will be cultural and sportive activities and time for the participants to get to know eachother and eachother's minority.
