Virtual 3D Agri Stage for Experiential Learning
Start date: Dec 1, 2009,

Within UE educational/training systems, agri-VET pathways provide specific knowledge related to pre-harvesting area, but no competences in post harvesting and in enterprise management. A comparison of formal and non formal curricula in UE countries shows that young farmers/people with an agri-educational background are usually trained through pathways focused on professional competences aimed at an agri-technician profile but not on transversal competences and not through effective apprenticeship experiences. This because mainly over 50 farmers who should support and tutor young entrepreneurs lack formalised competences to model and transferThis gap limits the support to agri-entrepreneurship of early establishment CAP aidsV-3DAS sustains the development of a new Agri-Entrepreneur professional profile acknowledging farm management transversal/entrepreneurial competences as useful to carry out farming-activities.The EQF-based training curriculum is articulated on 3 levels combining technical-professional competences and entrepreneurial/transversal skills: blended course for technical knowledge (classroom setting) and for EN sectoral skills (e-learning); V-stage in SL to acquire an entrepreneurial mindset; professional practice in real farms to verify on the field the capacities improved/acquired in V-environmentLearning is elicited by tailored materials aimed at confronting future agri-entrepreneurs with typical professional practice situations reconstructed by the analysis of Farming Best Practices in Partner Countries (IT-ES-GR-BE-DE-AT) covering two European areas representative of two different farming strategies in facing sectoral changesCurriculum validation/formalisation are supported by 4 pilot courses in IT-ES-BE-GR and sustain the transfer and exploitation in other EU countries thanks to an operational Tool-Box (available in EN and partners language) to support agri-trainers in further applications
