VINEPAC - Validation of Informal and Non-Formal Psycho-Pedagogical Competencies of Adult Educators

The project aims at developing common criteria and methodologies for the recognition, validation and certification of psycho-pedagogical competencies of adult educators in non formal and informal contexts and settings, and at improving the pedagogical competencies of teachers and trainers of adults. Its main specific objectives are: 1) to promote the sustainable development and improvement of non formal and informal psycho-pedagogical competencies of adult educators; 2) to identify the state of the art within VET systems and lifelong learning, and the certification procedures in the partners' countries; 3) to set up a common psycho-pedagogical competencies profile for teachers and trainers working with adults; 4) to develop a list of standards and indicators of their psycho-pedagogical competencies; 5) to design a set of instruments meant for validating the psycho-pedagogical competencies and a guide for its use; 6) to validate and improve a set of instruments; 7) to disseminate at the European level both the list of standards / indicators, and the set of instruments. The project results include a survey report, the profile, the set of indicators and the list of standards, the guide, the project website contain the new reference materials for the literature of the field. The main target groups are adult educators including teachers, trainers, tutors, counsellors, curriculum planners and program developers, adult education and lifelong learning managers, evaluators.
