Project in brief The large young population entering the job market in the Mediterranean area will represent a major challenge in the upcoming years. Qualified young people who should enhance the competitiveness of the Mediterranean area need to overcome numerous barriers while seeking career and employment opportunities. Building professional profiles, finding opportunities, matching successfully skills with market demands, understanding and coping with various profiling procedures (e.g. certification of their diplomas and degrees, generation and application of CVsand cover letters, qualification in job interviews) are among the key issues faced by job seekers on both shores of the Mediterranean. DAEDALUS aims to support the needs of young people in the Mediterranean labour markets byenhancing their career and business opportunities and matching their qualifications and skills with existing needs in neighboring countries. To achieve this goal, the project will offer electronic career and employment advising services to help young people raise their competence level in marketing their skills and searching employment as well as to constitute an efficient instrument for employment stakeholders in order to post job vacancies, seek qualified employees and explore new investment opportunities. Specific objectives • To help young people raise their competence level in marketing their skills and searching employment in the Mediterranean markets • To establish a technologically enhanced instrument for stakeholders to post job vacancies, find qualified competitive employees and explore investment opportunities in a collaborative way Expected Results: • Web-based ICT infrastructure for job search deployed in four different languages (Arabic, English, French, Greek and Italian) • At least 1500 young people and/or related stakeholders registered to DAEDALUS portal • Online career advising services for young people delivered • 1500-3000 young people trained to use DAEDALUS portal and online services • Capacities of young people in marketing their skills and searching for employment in the Mediterranean markets enhanced • Job and business opportunities of target young people aged 20 to 30 increased
