Self production, critical consumption and self awareness are the main three routes to follow for becoming a sustainable urban citizens. And it's easy. By doing so we can reduce our environmental impact and contribute to replicate sustainable life styles. UP to ME is an international youth exchange that wants to take these three roads, leading an international group of 30 youngsters coming from Italy, France, Germany, Spain and Slovakia to experience environmental- friendly activities and to create the conditions for discovering what sustainability means in an urban environment and show up good practices to replicate. It's possible to make sustainable choices in an urban environment and let the nature enters in our apartment but, is it easy and affordable? If I choose to become sustainable do I have to renounce to some comforts or it's just a matter of personal behaviors and points of view? Trough practical workshops and reflective moments, the youngsters will experience and learn how to be sustainable even if they live in a big city. They will discover also the nature by living for one night and 2 days in a natural environment (Hike) in order to face the nature and start recognize it as a friend and not as an enemy or something far from their daily life. The exchange will be organized in Rome from the 15th to the 25th of June 2016.
