Undercyphers V is a youth exchange that will take place in Barcelona in October 2015 and that it will host 27 participants from five countries, Spain, France, Croatia, Bulgaria and Slovenia, inside the preparation frame for a strategic partnership to be presented in 2016. Our project focuses on the empowerment of hip-hop culture as a platform for non-formal education and in the application and showcase of this culture and community, its profoundness, richness and organization to the public. Since hip-hop culture is generally unknown and the little seen of it we believe it does not represent its qualities, we expose its most pure and authentic aspects in a program in which values such as unity, democracy and team-work stand against the myths and stereotypes extended throughout its 40 years of history. Our participants are collectives from our community directed by respected leaders, with whom we have ideas, goals and beliefs that we share that have transformed in a project that we are now executing. In our program, we have designed activities that will explore parts of Erasmus+ and its tools, we will carry on gymkhanas, thematic tours on the city, we will discover the gastronomy and traditions of the countries involved, we will dance, practice and we will know each other a little more, to build together an alliance that will expand our skills to work as a team with the things we love and that represent us: Hip-Hop culture, Europe and youth. We expect to discuss the details of this partnership for 2016, as well as to define other short-term collaborative projects and joint actions in European soil, as foundations for the continuity of this interchange. We also desire, with our public activities and the little events that will take place throughout the week, to reach a general public that can benefit from the values born from a culture from the people and for the people, and that are intrinsic in a balanced human being. We hope not to be an end, but a beginning, and that a younger generation will continue carrying actions like this one, under the European Union umbrella, following one of our culture premises; the relationship and continuity between master and student.
